Carbon Credits from Banyan

Developing & delivering Carbon Credits that give you many more advantages, is the 24/7 business of Banyan.

Banyan Projects are innovatively developed for climate change affected people with least capacity to adapt, using proven Technology & new IPR-Intellectual Property Rights. This also ensures least cost credits for Banyan Customers.

TIME SAVING: Saves you nearly 18 months by first developing projects that have an Approved Methodology from CDM-Clean Development Mechanisms' (
http://cdm.unfccc.int ) methodology panel.

PROVEN TECHNOLOGY:Rely on proven & innovative Technology Components, Eliminating Technology Risks one of the largest risk in CDM projects. See Technology page.

PEOPLE FRIENDLY: Ensuring relief to people vulnerable or already affected from the Climate Change, for example small farmers, farm labourers & urban migrants trapped under debt & economic hardships in states where rainfall has been dropping due to climate change. Thus helping minimise the Climate Change impact on the people least capable of adapting to it.

Ensure No one is negatively impacted by the project, e.g. Garbage pickers or scavengers living on an existing landfill will continue to get their livlihood from the same activity by allowing them to do so before MSW-Municipal Solid Waste is dumped in to landfills which become part of the project.

HIGH VOLUME, LOW COST: Projects that generate high volume carbon Credits that needs technology development are offered as a Long Term Solution for Low Cost Credits.

There is No such thing as Quality in Carbon Credits. Well http://www.cdmgoldstandard.org/ was created to promote Golden standard for Carbon credits by NGO, Governments and corporates from around 30 countries. Still it does not recognise the need for projects that need to be fast, it does not cover many types of CDM & JI projects which are not necessarily run by an NGO, by way of its scope. Hence this BANYAN approach is being proposed.
